Super Spacer’s design ensures that the spacer will expand and contract, but it will always maintain its structural integrity by returning to its original shape. 

 

This is very important because windows are constantly exposed to temperature changes, UV ray bombardment, barometric pressure changes and wind load. Other rigid spacers containing metal don’t allow for the natural expansion and contraction that must occur in the insulating glass unit to offset the effects of these pressures on the glass. The results are stress cracks that eventually lead to seal failure.

 

Super Spacer^® TriSeal™ offers optimal performance and durability to satisfy the toughest commercial glazing demands including silicone structural glazing (SSG).TriSeal is a true dual seal warm edge spacer system with a butyl (PIB) primary seal and a choice of silicone, polyurethane, polysulfide, DSE/DSA or hot melt secondary seal.

 

TriSeal is unique in that it also contains a third structural seal made of permanent acrylic adhesive that will add increased durability for a longer product life and a warmer edge of glass, even in the most demanding applications.

 

The results are obvious. Structural foam combines with acrylic adhesive strength to form Super Spacer, the most sustainable insulating glass unit on the market.
